Important legal notice under N.C.G.S. §42-50, the Tenant Security Deposit Act.

This document informs you of the rights and responsibilities of your landlord under NC GS 42-50, the Tenant Security Deposit Act. Under the Act, the landlord is able to apply your deposit to a variety of items including past-due rent and fees, and damages beyond normal wear and tear. This letter outlines the amount of the security deposit held by your landlord and the deductions made against it, and acts to serve you with an accounting as required. The date of this notice shall be construed as the date of delivery unless otherwise noted. If the 60-day box below is checked, this accounting is interim and additional deductions may be made against your security deposit.
